I don't know, do I smell telnet/ssh? ;)
Although Microsoft is infamous for backdoors in their products, UNIX has had the useful part of this functionality for years and years.. ssh is tons more mature..

on top of that, you really have to sabotage a unix machine (unless it's redhat) to match windows' insecurity.. and you gotta know what you're doin, too.
